Janet Nabla, leader of the People's National Party (PNP), has made a bold prediction regarding Ghana’s political future, stating that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the 2028 general elections and will not return to power thereafter.

Speaking on Kasapa FM, Nabla attributed her forecast to what she described as the NDC’s disrespect for God and the truth.

She argued that a political party that operates without reverence for divine principles and honesty cannot sustain itself in government. “The consequences of such conduct will manifest at the ballot box in 2028,” she asserted.

Nabla emphasized that governance must be grounded in moral and spiritual integrity. According to her, the NDC’s alleged disregard for these principles would ultimately turn the Ghanaian electorate against the party.

Her comments, which were also shared by GHOne TV, quickly attracted attention on social media, where Ghanaians expressed a range of reactions.

While some appeared to take her prediction seriously, many responded with skepticism and amusement.

Commenters questioned the basis of her claims, while others debated the appropriateness of framing political outcomes in moral or spiritual terms. The general public reaction indicated that her remarks were met with more doubt than agreement.

Nabla’s statement comes at a time when political discourse in Ghana continues to focus on governance, accountability, and public trust.

Although the PNP remains a minor party in the country’s political landscape, her remarks have contributed to broader discussions on the values expected of those in leadership.

Whether her prediction will materialize remains uncertain, but it has undeniably sparked conversation among Ghanaians about politics, morality, and the road to the 2028 general elections.
