The suspect, 28-year-old Abena Adjei from Kete Krachi, was caught after the sudden disappearance of her boss, 42-year-old nurse Akua Nyarko, who worked at the Oti Regional Hospital.
Akua was reported missing on April 4, after she did not return home from work and could not be reached on her phone.
Her family became worried and quickly reported her disappearance to the local police station.
Officers began investigating the case immediately. They visited the house where Akua lived in Kete Krachi to look for clues.
