The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on party supporters to remain committed to the party and avoid making politically significant decisions out of disappointment, particularly regarding expectations for government contracts.

He made the remarks during his thank-you tour in Nandom in the Upper West Region on April 24, where he addressed concerns raised by some party members who feel excluded from opportunities under the current political arrangement.

He acknowledged the frustrations expressed by supporters but noted that available government contracts are insufficient to meet the expectations of all qualified individuals within the party.

According to him, even if all existing contracts in the country were distributed, they would still not be enough to accommodate every contractor seeking opportunities.

He therefore urged supporters to exercise patience and maintain confidence in the party’s leadership.

He further explained that continued political stability under the NDC increases the likelihood of creating future opportunities for those who may not benefit in the present.

He also cautioned against switching allegiance to the opposition, indicating that such decisions may not necessarily result in better outcomes for individuals seeking opportunities.
