Four individuals have been sentenced to a total of 110 years in prison following their involvement in a robbery targeting a traditional priestess at her shrine.

The case, reported by Crime Check TV, details how the convicted men carried out the attack and the subsequent legal consequences they now face.

According to the report, the incident occurred at Baamang, a community located near Kumasi.

The victim, identified as 48-year-old priestess Okomfuo Serwah, was reportedly engaged in her usual spiritual duties at her shrine when the attackers struck.

It is alleged that the men forcefully entered the premises, disrupting activities and creating a tense and distressing situation.

During the incident, the assailants are said to have taken an amount of GH¢8,800 from the priestess before fleeing the scene.

In addition to the theft, reports indicate that the shrine itself was desecrated during the attack, an act that not only caused physical damage but also carried cultural and spiritual implications for the victim and the surrounding community.

Following investigations and legal proceedings, the four men were arrested, prosecuted, and ultimately convicted for their roles in the crime.

The court handed down a combined prison sentence totaling 110 years, reflecting the seriousness of the offense and the circumstances surrounding the case.

The sentencing underscores the judiciary’s stance on violent crime and the protection of individuals in their places of work and worship.

It also highlights the importance of safeguarding communities against such acts, particularly when they involve both physical harm and cultural violations.
