A dramatic moment involving retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Kofi Boakye and popular political commentator Frank Kwaku Appiah, widely known as Appiah Stadium, has triggered massive reactions across Ghanaian social media platforms after a video of the incident surfaced online.

The incident reportedly happened after a public event where several notable personalities had gathered. In the now-viral clip, COP Kofi Boakye was seen happily posing for photographs with renowned television presenter Abena Kyei when Appiah Stadium suddenly stepped into the frame in an attempt to join the photo session.

What appeared to be a harmless attempt to be part of the moment quickly turned tense as the retired police officer reacted strongly to Appiah Stadium’s actions.

Clearly displeased, COP Kofi Boakye stretched out his hand and physically pushed Appiah Stadium away from the photo area while issuing a stern warning.

Witnesses around the scene were left stunned when the former police boss angrily told him, “Appiah, I will slap your face ooo, go out from here.”

The unexpected outburst immediately drew attention from people nearby, many of whom appeared shocked by the confrontation.

Despite the warning and public embarrassment, Appiah Stadium did not appear intimidated. Known for his outspoken and energetic personality, he remained around the area and later attempted to rejoin the interaction between COP Kofi Boakye and Abena Kyei.

At some point, he even made another effort to appear in the photographs, creating an awkward atmosphere at the gathering.

The video has since spread rapidly on social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Thousands of users have continued to share the footage while debating who was actually at fault in the heated exchange.

Some social media users believe COP Kofi Boakye overreacted and handled the situation in a harsh and disrespectful manner, especially considering the incident happened in public.

According to this group, the retired security official could have handled the situation calmly without threatening or pushing Appiah Stadium away in front of cameras and onlookers.

Others, however, have defended the former police chief, arguing that Appiah Stadium interrupted what looked like a private photo moment and should have respected boundaries.

Supporters of COP Kofi Boakye insist that everyone deserves personal space, especially during official events where people may wish to take selected photographs with invited guests.

Appiah Stadium himself has built a reputation over the years for being fearless and highly energetic in public spaces.

The outspoken National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporter is famous for appearing unexpectedly at political events, rallies, and gatherings involving prominent Ghanaian figures. His dramatic style and humorous personality have made him popular among many Ghanaians online.

Meanwhile, the incident has once again sparked conversations about celebrity culture, public conduct, and personal boundaries during social events.

Many people continue to question whether public figures should exercise more patience with enthusiastic supporters or whether individuals should avoid forcing themselves into moments where they may not be welcome.
