The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has publicly endorsed former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the most suitable candidate to lead both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the country at this crucial stage.

According to the former Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Dr Bawumia possesses the experience, credibility, and personal qualities needed to steer the party towards victory in the next general election.

Mr Adjei-Mensah Korsah made these remarks during an interview on Techiman-based Link FM, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, where he highlighted what he described as Dr Bawumia’s exceptional leadership credentials.

He stressed that the NPP requires a candidate who has been tested in government and understands the demands of national leadership.

“The party needs someone who has already been tried and proven,” he said.

“Among all the aspirants, Dr Bawumia stands out as the candidate who can deliver victory for us.”

The Techiman South MP noted that beyond experience, Dr Bawumia’s personal conduct sets him apart from his competitors in the race.

“His attitude and character place him in a class of his own,” Mr Korsah stated. “He has consistently demonstrated humility, respect for others, and loyalty to the party and the nation.”

He further argued that Dr Bawumia’s years of service at the highest level of government have equipped him with a deep understanding of Ghana’s economic and governance challenges, making him the best choice to lead the NPP into the future.

Mr Adjei-Mensah Korsah also appealed to party members and supporters across the country to put aside internal divisions and rally behind the former Vice President.

“This is the time for unity,” he urged.

“If we come together and support Dr Bawumia, we can position ourselves strongly for the elections ahead.”

He expressed confidence that selecting Dr Bawumia as the party’s flagbearer would significantly improve the NPP’s chances of retaining power, describing him as a leader capable of inspiring both party faithful and undecided voters.

The MP concluded by encouraging NPP delegates to consider competence, experience, and character as they prepare to make a crucial decision about the party’s future leadership.
