Speaking on this issue on Metro TV today, 25th February 2026, Mr. Kwesi Pratt debunks all those claims and highlighted how close associate to J.B Dankwah left him to follow Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
During his submission, Dr. Kwesi Pratt spoke about how J.B Dankwah's wife divorced him to become a confidant to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Mr. Kwesi Pratt also spoke about various accusations against Dr. Kwame Nkrumah which were never truth. According to Mr. Kwesi Pratt, it was said that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah planned to make himself president for life in the 1960 constitution.
But according to Mr. Kwesi Pratt, it wasn't captured anywhere in the 1960 constitution that Nkrumah is going to be president for life.
" As a fact, many who were related to J.B Danquah, abandoned Dankwah to follow Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. I can give you a clear example, J.B Dankwah's wife by name Mabel, divorce him to join the Convention Peoples Party formed by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Mable (J.B Dankwah's wife) was a close associate to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Some of the ministers who served in the administration of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah were even family members of J.B Dankwah.
Aside all these, all the elections that J.B Dankwah contested in Abuakwah (His own hometown) he lost. We have to understand that very clearly". - Mr. Kwesi Pratt stated.
