According to reports, the woman, aged 28, had been missing for nearly three weeks before her body was discovered in a remote area.
The results of the postmortem examination have revealed disturbing details about the cause of her death.
The woman, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons, was last seen leaving her home in the city of Kumasi.
Her family grew increasingly concerned when she failed to return, and a search effort was launched. After weeks of searching, her lifeless body was finally discovered in a secluded bush area near the outskirts of the city.
The postmortem report shocked her family and the public. It revealed that the woman had been strangled to death with a handkerchief.
The autopsy confirmed that she died from asphyxiation, caused by the compression of her neck. Investigators found the handkerchief near her body, which led them to conclude that it was used in the act of murder.
Family members have been left in deep sorrow over the tragic loss. Her sister, who spoke to the media, shared the family's shock:
"We never imagined such a thing would happen to her. She was a kind and hardworking person. This is too much for us to bear."
