The incident occurred on Sunday evening around 7:00 pm and left the vendor injured and traumatized.
According to Clara, the robbers arrived at her shop on a motorbike, armed with a pistol and a knife.
She recounted that one of the robbers held her sister at gunpoint while the other brandished a knife and demanded they hand over all their cash.
“The man with the pistol threatened to shoot my sister, and the other one with the knife forced me to give them the money. They took everything, over GH₵30,000,” Clara shared while speaking to the media.
The vendor, visibly shaken, was rushed to a health facility where she is currently receiving treatment for her injuries.
The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the robbery to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.
