Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has responded firmly to recent public commentary by members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), following discussions about him across various media platforms.

In a Facebook post dated April 9, 2026, Dr. Amoakohene disclosed that numerous prominent figures within the party have mentioned him during appearances on radio and television.

He noted, however, that one key individual—Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer and former Vice President—has not yet publicly commented on him.

Dr. Amoakohene emphasized that he is carefully observing the ongoing discussions while maintaining patience. At the same time, he made it clear that he is fully prepared to respond if the situation requires it.

As part of his readiness, he revealed that he has compiled 38 video recordings, which he described as evidence to support his position and counter any potential allegations or criticisms.

Although the Minister did not disclose the specific content of these recordings, his remarks suggest that they may become significant in shaping future political conversations.

His statement reflects a calculated approach, indicating both restraint and preparedness amid increasing public scrutiny.

The development points to rising political tension within the party, as media discussions and public commentary continue to intensify around his role and actions.

Analysts believe that such exchanges could influence internal party dynamics and public perception in the coming months.

Dr. Amoakohene’s approach also highlights a broader shift in political communication, where digital evidence—such as recorded videos—is increasingly used to substantiate claims and defend reputations.

This trend underscores the growing importance of documentation and media presence in contemporary politics.

Observers further suggest that the situation could escalate depending on whether Dr. Bawumia or other senior party figures respond publicly. Any such response may significantly shape the direction of the ongoing discourse.

For now, Dr. Amoakohene maintains a watchful stance, indicating that he is prepared but willing to wait. His comments reinforce the evolving nature of political engagement, where strategy, timing, and evidence all play critical roles in influencing outcomes.
