A tense moment unfolded during a live television political discussion after Sammy Gyamfi angrily lashed out at a fellow panelist, demanding to be allowed to respond without interruption.

The outspoken politician and National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress reportedly lost his composure during a heated exchange on a current affairs programme that focused on national political issues and governance.

Eyewitnesses and viewers said the confrontation escalated after repeated interruptions and accusations were directed at Sammy Gyamfi while he attempted to defend his party’s position on matters affecting the country.

Clearly frustrated by the back-and-forth argument, Gyamfi passionately shouted, “Don’t stop me, allow me to deal with him on live TV,” drawing loud reactions from both the studio audience and social media users following the broadcast.

The dramatic outburst immediately became a trending topic online, with clips of the confrontation circulating widely across various social media platforms.

Supporters of the NDC praised Gyamfi for what they described as his fearless and aggressive defence of his party’s stance, while critics argued that political discourse should remain respectful and professional despite disagreements.

Political analysts say the incident highlights the increasing tension and polarization within Ghana’s political environment ahead of future national debates and electoral activities.

Many observers also pointed to the growing trend of confrontational exchanges on live television, where political figures often engage in fiery verbal battles to win public support.

Although the exact issue that triggered the confrontation remains unclear, the exchange has generated widespread discussion among Ghanaians, with many debating whether passionate political expression should have limits on national television.

Neither the television station nor the opposing panelist involved in the heated clash has officially commented on the incident at the time of reporting.
