In a sermon delivered to his congregation, Prophet Kofi Oduro called for major changes in the leadership of the Ghana Football Association, linking the struggles of the national team, the Ghana Black Stars, to what he described as deeper structural and moral issues within the football administration.

He argued that the team’s inconsistent performances on the international stage cannot be resolved by players or coaching staff alone, insisting that meaningful improvement would require a change in leadership at the GFA.

According to him, continued poor results are a reflection of long-standing problems within the governing body’s administration.

Prophet Oduro further claimed that corruption and unethical practices within football management have contributed to the team’s decline, stating that such issues have undermined progress and unity.

He framed his message in moral and spiritual terms, suggesting that accountability at leadership level is necessary for restoration and success.

His remarks have resonated with sections of the public who have expressed frustration over the Black Stars’ recent performances.

Some fans agree with his call for reforms, while others argue that the team’s challenges are complex and cannot be attributed solely to administrative leadership.

The comments have added to ongoing national discussions about the direction of Ghana football, increasing scrutiny of the GFA’s management structures and decision-making processes.

As public debate continues, attention remains on whether calls for reform will lead to concrete changes within Ghana’s football administration and improve the fortunes of the Ghana Black Stars.
