Renowned pollster Musa Dankwah has called on the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, to go after the political hands that were behind the petition seeking his removal from office.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 24th, Musa Dankwah noted that there were unseen political hands behind the petition to remove Kissi Agyebeng, noting that the petition had nothing to do with the case involving Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

He stated emphatically that some politicians wanted the Special Prosecutor to be booted from office with no justifiable reason.

This comes after the Chief Justice, Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, has ruled that there is no prima facie evidence to justify further investigation into petitions calling for the removal of the Electoral Commissioner, her deputies, and the Special Prosecutor.

According to Musa Dankwah, it is now time for Kissi Agyebeng to go after those unnamed politicians who were desperately seeking to have him removed with no apparent reason.

"The unseen political hands were behind the call to sack the SP and not the Ken case. The SP must now go after them," his Facebook post reads.

The post from Musa Dankwah underscores the behind-the-scenes dealings of politicians which have prevented independent state institutions from carrying out their mandate without fear or favour.
