Bright Essilfie-Kumi, a leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has revealed that Henry Nana Boakye, the NPP Nana Organiser, breached an agreement NPP executives had with him prior to the previous national executive elections of the party.
According to him, the NPP executives agreed that Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, would appoint him as his Deputy National Organiser if he emerged victorious in the contest.
Having won the election, Bright Essilfie-Kumi noted that Nana B refused to fulfil the agreement, stating that he asked him to go to hell after he secured the position.
Speaking on Accra-based GHone TV, Bright Essilfie-Kumi expressed disappointment that Nana B did not keep to his promise.
"We (NPP executives) agreed that when Henry Nana Boakye won, I would be appointed as his Deputy National Organiser, but when he won and asked me to go to hell," he said in a post captured on the Facebook page of GHone TV.
Meanwhile, Bright Essilfie-Kumi has declared his bid to contest the 1st Vice Chairmanship position of the party.
He looks forward to taking part in the upcoming national executive elections of the party, positioning himself as a leader ready to make the NPP attractive to voters in the next general elections.
